About Me

Senior Researcher

Sam holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of the West of England and an MSc in Neuropsychology from the University of Bristol. His background is in managing and delivering clinical research.

Sam began his career as a research assistant at the University of Bristol's Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group before moving into mental health research at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, where he focused primarily on first-episode psychosis studies. From 2017 to 2022, he has been part of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s research delivery team, overseeing the setup, management, and execution of colorectal and general surgery clinical trials, as well as COVID-19 research. He also has expertise in quantitative and statistical analysis.

At CEDAR, Sam specialises in research delivery and trial management. He currently manages the SPIN-VR, HELPP, and VAP-X studies while also contributing to NICE projects, health economics, and evaluation projects.
