Christina has a BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Nutrition (University of Leeds), an MPH, Masters’ in Public Health and PhD in Public Health Nutrition from Queen’s University, Belfast. Christina is an Honorary Research Associate at Cardiff University, in the Department for Population Medicine. Christina has previously worked as a Principal Researcher in Public Health Wales and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, embedded in the local public health team with a remit of developing a research culture and leading a programme of research in population health. While in this role Christina was successful as lead and co-applicant at achieving substantial grant income and worked on a broad range of studies focused on hydration, stroke, social prescribing and early cancer diagnosis among others. Christina has expertise in the development of complex interventions, human nutrition and mixed methodologies.
