Harley has a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Bath and is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of the West of England (UWE) looking at the implementation and use of outcome measures in palliative and end of life care for heart failure. Previous to her role at CEDAR, she worked at NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) where she supported NHS commissioners to use research evidence in their decision making by conducting rapid evidence reviews, and advised on the planning and undertaking of service evaluations. Harley has also worked in medical research at the Wales Heart Research Institute investigating the genetic causes of heart disease.
