Sam has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (University of the West of England), and a MSc in Neuropsychology (University of Bristol). Sam’s background is the management and delivery of clinical research. Sam has worked as a research assistant at the University of Bristol in the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group, and then as a mental health researcher at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, primarily working on first episode psychosis research. Since 2017, Sam has worked in Cardiff & Vale University Health Board as part of the research delivery team. He was responsible for the setup, management, and delivery of colorectal and general surgery clinical research trials within the health board. He has also worked on the management and running of COVID-19 clinical trials.
