We are seeking a degree or masters graduate with experience in Health Economics to join our friendly team at Cedar, part of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board with links to Cardiff University.

Cedar supports decision making in healthcare through its contracts with national policy organisations and programmes including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the Welsh Value in Health Centre and Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC). Cedar also supports original research and service evaluation projects.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Health Economist to support Cedar’s work with NICE, Value in Health and WHSSC.

The post holder will support projects across our portfolio of work including economic modelling, economic evaluations and social return on investment.. An understanding of health care is essential, as is the ability to write and present clearly on complex health care interventions, keeping a number of topics on track to meet tight deadlines.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The post holder will support projects across our portfolio of work, and experience in qualitative and mixed methods research, health economics or evidence reviews would be advantageous. An understanding of health care is essential, as is the ability to write and present clearly on complex health care interventions, keeping a number of topics on track to meet tight deadlines.

We are seeking a graduate in a translation, Welsh or related areas to join our friendly team at Cedar, part of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board with links to Cardiff University. Cedar supports decision making in healthcare through its contracts with national policy organisations and programmes including the Welsh Value in Health Centre, the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Cedar also supports original research and service evaluation projects.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Translation Co-ordinator intended to support Cedar’s work with the Welsh Value in Health Centre. This programme of work extends across Wales and the Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that resources are available bilingually. The post holder will support this by providing translation services to the Cedar team and wider Welsh Value in Health Centre, and will occasionally work directly with patients to support aspects of the programme.

Excellent Welsh and English writing skills are essential, as is an ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
