Brothers, Dr Geraint Palmer from Cardiff University and Dr Robert Palmer from Cedar, have won the Value-Based Principles Award in the National PROMs Annual Research Conference hosted by the Welsh Value in Health Centre. Their project was entitled: PROMs-based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate waiting list prioritisation schemes against prudent healthcare principles. Well done both!
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Translation Co-ordinator intended to support Cedar’s work with the Welsh Value in Health Centre. This programme of work extends across Wales and the Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that resources are available bilingually.
The results from the NIHR-funded HART trial on incisional hernia following colorectal cancer surgery have been published in the British Journal of Surgery. Cedar researchers Susan O'Connell, Laura Knight, and Andrew Cleves from Cedar Health Technology Research Centre managed this study in collaboration with Swansea University, under the leadership of Prof Jared Torkington (Cardiff & Vale University Health Board).
An economic evaluation led by Megan Dale at Cedar of the OBS Cymru quality improvement initiative has been published in PharmacoEconomics - Open.
