Sue has a BSc (Hons) in Physics (Keele University), an MSc in Computing Science (Staffordshire University), an MSc in Clinical Engineering and Medical Physics (University of Sheffield) and a PhD in Physiological Measurement (University of Leicester). Sue trained as a Medical Physicist and achieved registration as a Clinical Scientist whilst working as an evaluator for CEDAR previously. She then spent four years as a Research Associate conducting qualitative research in the design and adoption of medical technologies in the Medical School at Cardiff University before transferring to the School of Engineering and returning to work at CEDAR. Sue's work concentrates on clinical trial management, medical device regulations, and economic modelling, and she leads CEDAR’s contribution to teaching on the undergraduate Medical Engineering degree.
