Developing Welsh translations of PROMS

Cedar works with the Welsh Value in Health Centre to translate and validate health questionnaires called PROMs (Patient Reported Outcome Measures). PROMs are a set of questions completed by patients which help us understand symptoms and quality of life and they are used by the NHS to assess and improve the treatment and care that it provides.

As part of the translation process, we are required to test the Welsh translation with Welsh-speakers to ensure that it is easily understood by all Welsh speakers and that it has the same meaning as the original English version. For each PROM, we require feedback from a minimum of 5-10 Welsh speakers with specific health conditions.

Cedar is currently looking for Welsh-speakers with various health conditions to help us with this work. If you are a Welsh-speaker and would like to take part or find out more about this work, please read our information leaflet and complete our short online form using the link here: https://forms.office.com/e/NfgdB9FbkD.

To complete the form in Welsh, please select the Welsh language option in the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
