The Welsh Government funded a two-year long programme to investigate all hospital acquired COVID-19 infections in Wales, during the pandemic. A current programme evaluation is underway to maximise the opportunity for learning and improvement of future programmes.
CEDAR have been commissioned to undertake interviews with staff leading the programme in each of the health board, the national team and Welsh Government. The purpose of these interviews is to gain feedback from staff, as to what worked well and what did not work so well, to generate lesson learned from the programme. This learning will be used to inform future programmes.
