We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our CEDAR administration team. The successful candidate will support CEDAR, a busy healthcare evaluation centre in the Cardiff Medicentre. The role will involve the day to day running of the office, taking phone calls, managing enquires, ordering stationary, booking conferences and travel etc as well as working with the team to deliver a wide range of projects.

Prior administration experience and knowledge of working in the NHS would be beneficial but full training will be given to the right candidate.

We are seeking a degree or masters graduate in a health science-related discipline with either a research doctorate (PhD) or experience in evidence reviews equivalent to a PhD to join our friendly team at CEDAR, part of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board with links to Cardiff University.

The post holder will produce rapid evidence reviews on specialist treatments and presenting the findings to committees of experts and lay people whilst leading a team of evaluation scientists to achieve these outputs. This exciting, dynamic role will also involve developing the health technology assessment team to further enhance their knowledge and capabilities as CEDAR continues to develop and explore new funding opportunities. The post holder works independently within a framework of defined occupational policies. They lead tertiary evidence assessment, including searching, review and appraisal activities within Cedar. They will produce high quality written work including evidence scopes, protocols and reviews and report under tight and strict deadlines.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team.  

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Translation Co-ordinator intended to support CEDAR’s work with the Welsh Value in Health Centre. This programme of work extends across Wales and the Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that resources are available bilingually. The post holder will support this by providing translation services to the CEDAR team and wider Welsh Value in Health Centre, and will occasionally work directly with patients to support aspects of the programme. As an all Wales programme, this post is suitable to remote working, and flexible working including part time posts or job share would be considered.

You will have excellent language skills (Welsh and English), and have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in Welsh language translation. An ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy is essential. CEDAR, part of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board with links to Cardiff University, is conveniently located at Cardiff Medicentre at the University Hospital of Wales with good cycle/changing facilities and car parking.
